What this tool looks for
Requirements, not keyword counts
Keyword scanners tell you a word is missing. This check reads the ad the way a recruiter does: it lists what the job actually asks for, must-haves first, and looks for proof of each in your resume.
- Covered: a line clearly shows it, with specifics
- Thin: mentioned, but without detail or a result, or only in a skills list
- Missing: nothing in the resume shows it
Every “covered” comes with a quote
For each covered requirement you see the line of your resume that proves it. The quote is checked against what you pasted; if the AI can’t point to a real line, the requirement is marked thin instead.
Fixing thin and missing requirements
A thin requirement usually needs a specific example with a result: turn “Supervised writers” into who, how many, and what changed. For a missing one, don’t claim it. If you have related experience, say that plainly; if not, it’s a gap to address in the cover letter or the interview.

What is a good match?

Does it check whether an applicant tracking system (ATS) can read my resume?
No, it checks content: whether your resume proves what the job asks for. For layout, use a single-column template that exports real text, like CandidThread’s 8 free templates.
Is my resume stored?
No. What you paste is sent to the AI to produce your result and isn’t saved. We keep a record that the tool ran (not what you pasted) and a scrambled form of your IP address for up to two days, to limit each tool to 3 checks a day.
