What a story bank is
A story bank is a short list of real things you did at work, each written in the STAR shape: Situation, Task, Action, Result. Interviewers ask behavioural questions (“Tell me about a time…”) to hear exactly these stories. With eight to twelve good ones you can answer most of them.
A coach that asks, instead of writing for you
Import your resume and CandidThread suggests stories hiding in your bullet points. For each one, the coach asks the next missing thing, one question at a time: how big was the problem, what exactly did you do, what changed, how do you know.

What is the STAR method?
STAR is a way to answer behavioural interview questions: describe the Situation, your Task, the Actions you took, and the Result. CandidThread adds an M for the metric, because a result with a number is the part interviewers remember.
How many stories do I need?
Eight to twelve strong stories cover most behavioural interviews. Aim for a spread: a conflict, a failure, a deadline, leading without authority, a result you’re proud of, and a few that show the core skills of the jobs you want.
Will the coach make my stories sound better than they were?
No. It helps you say what happened clearly and asks for the details you left out. It can’t add actions, tools, numbers or results you didn’t mention, and drafts are checked for claims without a source.
Can I answer in my own language?
Yes. In the career interview and the coach you can answer in any language, typed or spoken. Your stories are saved in English, ready for English-language applications.
