A general chatbot fills gaps with plausible details: a team you didn’t lead, a tool you didn’t use, a percentage nobody measured. Recruiters notice, and interviewers ask about it. CandidThread only has your material to work from, and checks the result against it.
Checked sentence by sentence
After the letter is written, a separate check reads it against your resume, stories and answers. Any phrase without a source is highlighted with the reason, so you can remove it or add the real story behind it.

Do I still need a cover letter?
Many employers don’t read them, but many do, especially for smaller companies, the public sector, and roles where the ad asks for one. A short letter that proves the top requirements helps when it’s read and costs little when it isn’t.
How long should a cover letter be?
Three or four short paragraphs, under a page. Open with the role and your strongest proof, add one or two stories that match the job’s main requirements, and close plainly.
Can I edit the letter?
Yes, freely. The check highlights sentences without a source in your material; it’s your call what to keep.
